Accessibility statement
Updated July 2026
Vefapp is a division of Datatech ehf. We want our website to work for everyone, regardless of disability, technology or circumstance. We aim for the site to meet 2.2 level AA, the international standard for digital accessibility. This statement explains what that means, what we do, and how to let us know if anything gets in your way.
Our commitment
Accessibility is not an afterthought for us but part of how we build websites. We treat an accessible site as a basic mark of quality, in the same way as security and speed, and we work on it steadily.
The same thinking sits behind the sites we build for clients: accessibility is built in from the first line of code, not bolted on at the end.
The standard we target
We target 2.2 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) at level AA. That standard rests on four principles: content should be perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.
It is the same benchmark the European Accessibility Act and the European standard EN 301 549 build on. You can read more about what involves on our accessibility page.
What we do
The site is built on semantic so screen readers and other assistive technology get the correct meaning. Headings follow a logical order and everything can be operated with a keyboard, with clearly visible focus.
We test colour contrast against the AA threshold, let type scale up without the layout breaking, give images descriptive text alternatives, and design forms that give clear error messages. We test with a keyboard, a screen reader and automated accessibility checks.
The site also respects the reduced-motion setting (prefers-reduced-motion): if you prefer less motion in your operating system, we calm animations and transitions.
Known limitations
Despite this work, some content may still not fully meet our own benchmark. Older video content may lack captions, and third-party content that appears on the site is not always fully within our control.
If you run into a barrier that is not listed here, we would very much like to hear about it. We treat such reports as part of keeping the site accessible.
Feedback and help
If you run into anything that stops you using the site — or need content from the site in another, more accessible format — send us a note at vefapp@datatech.is or call +354 571 9300. Describe the problem and where on the site it came up, so we can respond faster.
We take every report seriously and respond as quickly as we can. If you need content in another format, we will try to provide it within a reasonable time.
Updates
We update this statement as the site evolves and its accessibility improves. The latest version is always published here, with the date at the top.
