Datatech
Iceland's first data-recovery company.
Overview
Datatech is the first dedicated data-recovery company in Iceland and the parent of Vefapp. The internal system tracks every recovery from drive intake to handback, with direct integrations to Payday.is for invoicing, Pósturinn.is and Dropp.is for shipping, and Resend for customer communication. The site is both the company's public face and the entry point to the work-order system.

Problem
Data-recovery work in Iceland used to run through a mix of email, spreadsheets and printed receipts. Each job moved through a multi-step flow, drive intake, diagnostics, recovery, handback, invoicing, without any of those steps living in a single system. Nobody could see where a job stood unless they personally knew.
Approach
A custom work-order system where each job has one status, one number and one timeline. Invoices flow straight into Payday.is, shipments dispatch through Pósturinn.is or Dropp.is depending on destination, and customer communication runs on Resend. Status changes trigger transactional email automatically, no manual cc-ing.
Outcome
One system tracks every recovery from intake to handback. Customers know when their drive arrived, when recovery completed, and when their shipment is on the way, without anyone having to email about it.
